Road Trip Budget Secret

One of Our Secrets to Budget Road Trips:

We always pack a basket with utensils, paper plates and cups, condiments, snacks, napkins and even some bandaids, Neosporin and peroxide.

If we’re leaving from home, we take an ice chest and pack fruit, cheese and maybe some chicken salad or hot dogs that we can grill on our small Coleman stove. We take a container of extra supplies to feed into our basket and several cans of soup to heat up in the room.

If we fly to a location and rent a car, an ice chest is an inexpensive investment and then just go to the grocery store and stock up.

Most rooms now come with complimentary breakfasts. So you can replenish some of your items or take for a snack later.
