Amazing Road Trip to Utah

The goal – hike all five National Parks in Utah

Meeting a challenge is what drives us. So hiking all five National parks in Utah in about a week was our goal. In 17 days we drove from Virginia to Utah, hiked all five National Parks (some using our miraculous crampons–hiking spikes), plus some beautiful hikes in Arizona and New Mexico. The trip exceeded all our expectations. We hit really good weather considering it was winter.

“a mouse invasion”

When we got back to Virginia, the pipes in our RV were frozen and it took 3 days to thaw out. Crazy cold temps! And while we were gone, a pack of mice (do mice come in packs?) invaded our RV. They ate everything from a whole pack of Taco Seasoning (Weasel said maybe they were Spanish mice) to plastic caps on food containers, the rubber on spatulas, fringes on a scarf my mother and I bought in Merida, Mexico and much more. They left “evidence” everywhere! So I spent 3 days disinfecting and scouring everything in the RV. We trapped a few and I guess the rest of the “pack” got the hint because we haven’t seen any since.
